Nairobi Conference & Safari Extensions
Make More of Your Time in Kenya
The conference brought you here. The safari is why you'll remember it.
Coming to Nairobi for an international conference, summit or corporate event? Extend your visit with a privately designed Kenya safari, planned around your conference schedule and the time you have available.
From a one-night escape to Amboseli, to a three-day Masai Mara experience, or a five-day journey through Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and the Mara — we make it easy to experience Kenya beyond the conference room.
Nairobi Conference safari extensions
Your conference is the reason you came. Kenya is the experience you can add.
International conferences often mean travelling a long way to spend several days in Nairobi. If you have additional time before or after your conference, a safari can turn a business trip into a memorable Kenya experience.
You don’t need to work out the routing, accommodation or safari logistics yourself. Simply tell us:
- When your conference finishes
- How many days you have available
- What kind of safari interests you
- Your preferred level of accommodation
We’ll design the journey around your schedule.
The conference comes first. The safari fits around it.
Choose Your Safari by the Time You Have
Three private journeys, matched honestly to your schedule
2-Day Amboseli Safar
Nairobi → Amboseli → Nairobi
A short escape into the Amboseli ecosystem, known for its elephants, open landscapes and views towards Mount Kilimanjaro.
3-Day Masai Mara Private Safari
Nairobi → Masai Mara → Nairobi
Two nights in the Mara provide enough time for meaningful game viewing without requiring a long absence from your conference commitments. Choose between a private road journey or a fly-in safari from Wilson Airport, subject to routing and availability.
2 nights · Ideal for delegates who want the classic Kenya safari experience
5 Days Amboseli, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara Safari
Nairobi → Amboseli → Lake Nakuru → Masai Mara → Nairobi
Three iconic landscapes in one private journey. Experience three very different Kenyan ecosystems while staying in carefully selected luxury properties.
Why These Three Safaris?
The right safari depends on the time you have
You don’t need to choose from dozens of itineraries.
2 days
Choose Amboseli if your priority is a short escape.
3 days
Choose Masai Mara if your priority is experiencing Kenya’s iconic wildlife.
5 days
Choose Amboseli + Nakuru + Mara if you want a broader introduction to Kenya.
Have more than five days? We can design a longer private journey, including fly-in and super-luxury itineraries.
Your Safari, Your Style
Choose how you want to experience Kenya
Your safari itinerary can be paired with different levels of accommodation, depending on your preferences and travel dates.
Classic Luxury
Comfort, Excellent Locations, Full-Board Stays
Well-established safari lodges and camps offering comfort, excellent locations and full-board safari stays.
Signature Luxury
Intimate, Distinctive Safari Properties
More intimate camps and distinctive safari properties offering a more private and personalised experience.
Ultra-Luxury
Exceptional, Exclusive Wilderness Settings
Exceptional properties in private conservancies and wilderness settings, selected for guests seeking a more exclusive safari experience.
Road or Fly-In during your Conference safari?
Choose how you want to travel
For some conference delegates, the journey itself is part of the experience. For others, time is precious.
Private Road Safari
Travel in a private 4×4 safari vehicle with your guide. A good choice when you want to experience the landscape between Nairobi and your safari destination.
Fly-In Safari
For shorter schedules or longer-distance routes, internal safari flights can significantly reduce travel time. For the Masai Mara, scheduled flights operate from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, with routing and airstrip selection depending on the camp and travel dates.
Our approach: we don’t automatically recommend flying or driving. We choose the routing that makes the most sense for the time you have and the experience you want
What If You Don't Have Enough Time for a Safari after the conference?
Only have a few hours or one free day?
You don’t have to leave Nairobi to experience Kenya. If your conference schedule only gives you a few hours, a morning, afternoon or free day, explore our Nairobi Conference City Tours — you can experience Nairobi’s wildlife, culture and heritage without committing to a multi-day safari.
Nairobi Conference City Tours — Discover options such as:
- Nairobi National Park
- Giraffe Centre
- Karen
- Nairobi’s cultural and heritage experiences
- Private half-day experiences
- Full-day Nairobi excursions
Have limited time? Stay in Nairobi. Have several days? Go on safari.
Is Safari Before or After Your Conference?
Both.
Safari Before Your Conference
International arrival → Safari → Nairobi → Conference
For delegates arriving in Kenya several days before their conference, this can be an excellent way to begin your Kenya visit.
Safari After Your Conference
Conference → Safari → International departure
For delegates who want to finish their professional commitments first — particularly convenient for those who have several days after the event.

Will the Safari Fit Around My Conference?
Yes — this is the point of a conference safari extension.
You don’t need to fit your conference around the safari. We fit the safari around your conference.
When you enquire, tell us:
- Conference dates
- Available safari dates
- Number of travellers
- Number of nights available
- Preferred accommodation level
- Road or fly-in preference
- International departure date
We then design the safari around the time available to you.
What If My Conference Schedule Changes?
Conference programmes can change.
For that reason, we recommend confirming the safari once your conference schedule and personal travel dates are sufficiently firm. Where possible, we can design the itinerary with appropriate flexibility, subject to accommodation and flight availability and the booking conditions of the individual suppliers.
What About Luggage?
Practical guidance, specific to your routing
For road safaris, luggage restrictions are generally less restrictive than on safari aircraft. For fly-in safaris, baggage allowances depend on the airline and route — safari flights commonly require soft-sided luggage and have relatively limited baggage allowances. We will provide the relevant baggage guidance with your quotation and advise you on practical packing for your particular routing.
What Does the conference safari Cost?
Your safari is individually quoted.
We don’t believe a conference delegate should have to fit into an arbitrary fixed price. Your quotation depends on:
- Conference and safari dates
Number of travellers
- Accommodation selected
- Room configuration
- Road or fly-in travel
Flight availability
Park and conservancy fees
Season
You can therefore choose the level of experience that suits your time and preferences.

Frequently Asked Questions
Nairobi conference safari extensions — common questions, answered directly
Yes, a private safari extension can be planned around your conference schedule, whether you have one spare day or a full week.
Three days is our recommended minimum — two nights in the Mara provide enough time for meaningful game viewing without a long absence from your conference commitments.
Yes, a 2-day Amboseli safari is our shortest genuine safari option, suited to delegates with a very limited window.
Yes, a safari before your conference works just as well, and can be an excellent way to begin your Kenya visit if you're arriving several days early.
A full safari isn't the right fit for that little time — our Nairobi Conference City Tours cover shorter windows, including Nairobi National Park, the Giraffe Centre and Karen.
Both are genuine options; we recommend whichever suits the time you have and the experience you want, rather than defaulting to one automatically.
Every safari is individually quoted, depending on dates, number of travellers, accommodation level, and whether you travel by road or fly-in.
Yes, the same safaris can be arranged for groups through our trade and DMC services, with net rates available for event organisers.
Yes. Your conference dates, available days and international departure are used as the framework for the safari.
Yes. We can design private safari extensions for small groups of colleagues or delegates.
For a short extension, 2–3 days works well. Five days allows a broader multi-destination experience. Longer periods can support a slower, fly-in luxury journey.
The 3-Day Masai Mara Private Safari is the signature conference extension, particularly when time is limited.
Safari flights to destinations such as the Masai Mara commonly depart from Nairobi's Wilson Airport. Exact routing depends on airline schedules, airstrip and camp.
Where practical, excess luggage can be left securely in Nairobi while you travel on safari. This depends on your accommodation and travel arrangements and will be confirmed during planning.
You can select from different accommodation levels, from established luxury lodges to intimate signature camps and higher-end private-conservancy properties.
Booking early is advisable for peak travel periods and sought-after luxury camps, especially when your safari must fit tightly around conference dates.
Yes, the itinerary can be designed around your international departure, with appropriate time allowed between the safari return and your flight.
A safari can be arranged throughout the year. The best destination depends on your dates, wildlife interests and the time available.
It depends on your available time. With five or six nights, we would usually favour one or two destinations. With eight to twelve nights, you can comfortably combine several regions without rushing.
For a first luxury safari, one of our favourite combinations is Amboseli and the Masai Mara. For a more sophisticated itinerary, Samburu, Laikipia and the Mara provide much greater ecological and experiential variety.
Choose based on location, guiding, privacy and the experience rather than whether the accommodation is called a lodge or camp. Some of Kenya's finest luxury experiences are under canvas.
If wildlife is your priority, we would usually recommend focusing on the Masai Mara rather than trying to visit several destinations. A short safari is often better when spent deeply in one ecosystem.
